Just a few words of compassion
I’m sure you’re well aware that the number of homeless people in DuPage County is staggering. I’m fully aware of the fiscal challenges with regard to trying to help homeless people. However, there are things we can all offer to homeless people which will not cost any of us a single penny.
What I’m talking about is our time and our compassion. A few kind words can go a long way toward lifting the spirits of other people. Some people out there need to hear these kind words in order to carry on. Some people’s spirits have been crushed to the point where a few kind words can mean the difference between life and death.
