A fun ending to a very soggy night

While trying to exit the September Fest on Sunday, Sept. 1st in a torrential downpour, we found ourselves in the food tent booth of the Melting Pot with several of their employees. They were kind enough to let us stay.

When officials closed the festival early, we watched as their employees opened a large ice chest full of chocolate-covered strawberries, plus several of their specialty desserts, and started passing them out to the patrons who were packed in the tent trying to stay dry.

Just listening to the squeals of the teens and seeing the smiles on the customers faces as they were given these sweet treats made a fun ending to a very WET night. Kudos to the Melting Pot for such a nice gesture. Oh, and thanks for the garbage bags.
