Action would speak louder than words

With regard to K. Wagner's Aug. 16 letter criticizing the “hypocrisy” of Wal-Mart and the Walton family, I am reminded of something my mother often said to me during my early years. Even though my mom never completed high school, she knew that it is so much easier to complain than it is to actually improve things.

May I ask Ms. Wagner how many low-income people she has offered jobs, and at what hourly rate?
