Ryan, Jackson show inequity in sentencing

I just don’t get it. Gov. George Ryan takes graft for 20 to 30 years and gets 6½ years in prison. Jesse Jr. and wife take $750,000 and pay no taxes and get 2½ years for Jesse and a year and a day for Sandy Jackson. A slap on the wrist.

Rod Blagojevich opens his big mouth and says something stupid one time too many and gets 14 years without ever having pocketed one nickel. I do not condone what he did, but where is the fairness in sentencing? It is way out of whack. People just don’t like him.

I just don’t get it.
