Appreciate Colin Powell’s optimism

My hat’s off to The Daily Herald on Colin Powell’s visit and his eternal optimism. While in todays environment it can be hard to have perpetual optimism. It certainly doesn’t hurt. It is always better to be a glass half full kind of person than a glass half empty.

Let’s hope some of those that continually write into this forum heed the Daily Herald’s message.

The issues we face as a nation can never be overcome without facing them in a positive manner. All those on the political end, the news opinion shows, that almost always are negative, do not help at all. While this is mostly a minority group, there pessimism can spread like wildfire.

I’ve always found that someone who is always negative with their comments or attitude is only happy when they make those around them feel the same way. Turn and walk away from these kind of people as fast as you can.

Just Remember, the Power Of positive Thinking is a good attribute to have.
