Schaumburg police seek to identify woman’s attackers

Schaumburg police are requesting the public’s help in identifying two suspects in the beating of a 30-year-old woman early Friday morning.

The victim reportedly was taking garbage to a receptacle in an apartment complex parking lot on the 1100 block of North Knollwood Drive at about 1:45 a.m. Aug. 9.

The woman was confronted by two men who beat her until she was unconscious.

When the victim awoke, the two men had fled. She suffered some torn clothing and minor injuries, but the investigation has not concluded whether sexual assault was the intent of the attack.

The victim was treated at a hospital for cuts and bruises.

The first attacker was described as a man of mixed race or Hispanic, 25 to 28 years old, 6 foot to 6 foot, 2 inches tall, with a medium build. He was wore blue plaid shorts and a white sleeveless T-shirt.

The second attacker was described as a man of mixed race or Hispanic, 25 to 28 years old, 6 foot, 3 inches to 6 foot, 6 inches tall with a medium to heavy build, curly hair and a distinctive tattoo on the right side of his neck.

Police have released a computer generated likeness of the first attacker’s face and of the tattoo on the second attacker’s neck.

The second attacker had a white pit bull dog with a dark spot on one eye, clipped ears and tail, possibly named “Dueces.”

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Schaumburg Police Department’s Investigations Division at (847) 882-3534 or policeinvestigationsdivison@ci.schaumburg.il.us.
