A better fireworks show in Roselle
Maybe the good citizens of Roselle could have had an even more spectacular display if it was not for the machinations of the politicians running the City of Roses. The good mayor can well thank the volunteers and private donations made to the city to have the "mad bomber" light up the sky.
However, none of this would have been necessary if the mayor and her cohorts, including the recently not re-elected Kory Atkinson, had not challenged the election nominating petitions all the way from the electoral board, circuit court of DuPage and finally the appellate court, striking out all three times to a village cost well over $20,000.
That would be even more than the good citizens had to donate to at least see a show celebrating independence and the right to vote for the candidate of your choice, not something the administration seems to appreciate.
