Batavia House Walk Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are being sought for Batavia MainStreet's Seventh Annual House Walk, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 29. Opportunities for volunteers include serving as docents and greeters in homes, as well as assisting with the event's tea. Scripts are provided for volunteers who are home tour guides.

This year's event, "Making a House Your Home", is guaranteed to please with the addition of a fine arts and artisan market for all to visit. An expansion of the existing monthly Artisan Market, this event will showcase a larger selection of talent with unique specialty items for sale. In addition to five stunning homes, this year's house walk will also open the doors and welcome visitors to tour a portion of the original Batavia City Hall. Completely renovated, this 120-year-old limestone building is the business home of a local photographer and official photographer of the house walk.

If you are interested in a fun day and would like to volunteer, please contact Batavia MainStreet at 630-761-3528. All volunteers will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the walk at the discounted $10 rate.
