Fabulous fireworks marred by parking

So my family enjoyed a beautiful day at Arlington Park racetrack on July Fourth. The fireworks show was one of the best we’ve ever seen. A full 30 minutes with fireworks of art timed to music; really awesome.

The letdown came when it took almost an hour to get out of the parking lot (almost twice as long than the fireworks show itself!).

The park needs to do a much better job with getting more people directing traffic and people that know what they are doing. They can take some lessons from Willow Creek Community Church — there are thousands at every service and there’s never any issue with getting out quickly.
