Inverness police release sketch of suspected shooter

Inverness police released a sketch of the suspect they said shot a 63-year-old man June 28 at his girlfriend’s home on the 100 block of Crichton Lane.

Police said two men confronted the couple when they returned from dinner that night. The victims told the Daily Herald that the men were in the process of burglarizing the home.

Police said the shooter was described as a white man with gray hair, about 5-foot-8, 200 pounds and possibly between 50 and 55 years old. The other suspect was described as white, thin and about 5-foot-10.
