Hawks’ Kane brings Cup to Letterman show

Patrick Kane on Wednesday brought the Stanley Cup to New York, where David Letterman sat down with the Blackhawks’ playoff MVP for a chat during a taping of “Late Show.”

In a preview clip released Wednesday evening by CBS, Kane tells Letterman the Cup is “the coolest trophy in sports,” and recalls that he brought it to a Jimmy Buffett concert when the team last won in 2010. (Kane also notes that the next Buffett concert in Chicago is this Saturday.)

Letterman also asked Kane to hoist the Cup outside the Ed Sullivan Theater, where a wet surprise was waiting for the winger and his trophy.

You can watch Kane’s full appearance at 10:35 tonight on CBS.
