Team Six-Pack takes volleyball championship

Over the last several months, the Arlington Heights Park District's Volleyball League teams have been competing and volleying (pun intended) for the ultimate spot as league champions. The top four teams of the league battled for the prestigious title but even more important, bragging rights.

High-fives were flying all evening this past Wednesday, June 11th as point after point came in for each team adding to the suspense and adrenalin, in the end, Team Six-Pack that took the title.

The now League Championship team consists of: Kelly Pickering, Diane Fuller, Jessi Cabanin, Paige Tortorello, Emily Root, and Cheryl Poirier.

“it's all in fun,” commented Poirier. “I have friends that played on other teams in the league and with this win; I get to spike it to them one more time.”

With a smile on her face, the Algonquin resident is already taking advantage of her bragging rights.
