Downed power lines near Hanover Park causing Metra delays

Metra trains are moving again after being halted due to downed power lines across the track near Hanover Park, according to a notice on the Metra website.

All inbound and outbound trains on the Milwaukee West Line are on the move west of Hanover Park at a restricted speed, according to the notice. The duration of delays are between 10 and 50 minutes.

Passengers on a train scheduled to arrive at the Elgin Chicago Street station at 6:13 p.m. were asked to get off the train at the Hanover Park station. A train originally scheduled to arrive at the Big Timber stop at 6:29 p.m. was set to accommodate them.
