Randhurst Village Presents Summer Entertainment and Music Series, Continues 50th Anniversary Celebration

Randhurst Village in Mount Prospect continues its 50th Anniversary Celebration with “Concerts on the Court” beginning July 17, 2013. The events will be held on Third Wednesdays of July, August and September and be presented on the property's Center Court, outside on Randhurst Village Drive. The events will feature free children's entertainment including performances by Those Funny Little People and concluding with top Chicago bands.

Free performances from the top bands in Chicago begin at 6:00 pm on Third Wednesdays. The bands will perform two sets each night. Here is the exciting band line-up:

Wednesday, July 17: Mike and Joe

6 p.m.

“Concerts on the Court” kicks off with Mike and Joe, featuring Mount Prospect native and Arlington Heights resident, Joe Valentino, and Mike Notaro of Indianapolis. Mike and Joe is a rock band that performs at countless festivals and clubs throughout the Chicago area to rave reviews. Crowds love their renditions of current songs and those from the ‘80s and ‘90s. The band is recognized for playing true-to-the-original renditions of the songs you love. Mike and Joe are both extraordinarily talented acoustic and electrical guitar players and have rounded out their band with two artists playing bass and drums.

Wednesday, August 21: Maggie Speaks

6 p.m.

Maggie Speaks fires up events from Europe to the Bahamas to the Chicago area by being a band that delivers more than just a show – they create a memorable experience. Featuring the songs you love from the ‘80s reaching back to the ‘50s Top 40 hits to songs you just heard today, Maggie Speaks has built a reputation as one of the hottest bands in the market. The band is known for cranking out an incredible non-stop high-energy show that leaves people breathless with their seamless medleys and transitions. They have shared the stage with names like Earth Wind and Fire, The Doobie Brothers, .38 Special and Jay Leno.

Wednesday, September 18: 7th Heaven

6 p.m.

One of the biggest indie bands in the world and arguably one of the busiest cover bands in Chicago,7th Heaven has charted #1 on the Midwest Billboard Charts twice in the past few years and has been on more than 7 Chicago radio stations with their original hits “Better This Way” and “Sing.” Their performances are famous for their “30 songs in 30 minutes” medley of songs from the ‘70s and ‘80s. This year the band welcomed Anthony Fedorov, a top 4 finalist from Season 4 of American Idol. With 25 years in the industry and a constantly refreshed group of highly talented artists, 7th Heaven has opened for the likes of Bon Jovi among others.

Randhurst Village, featuring nearly 40 stores and restaurants, has recently been redeveloped as an outdoor shopping experience located at the intersection of Elmhurst and Rand Roads. The Mount Prospect landmark is concluding a year of celebrating its 50th anniversary.
