The global supplier of maintenance, repair and operating products said U.S. sales were up 6 percent, with Canada sales increasing 2 percent. Global sales increased 10 percent during the period, the company said in a release

Grainger reported the 5 percent total included 3 percentage points from volume, 2 percentage points from price and 1 percentage point from acquisitions, partially offset by a 1 percentage point decline from unfavorable foreign exchange.  The month of May 2013 had 22 selling days, the same as May 2012.
