Not fair to bash tournament fishing

Mike Jackson, I find your articles to be self-serving and very hypocritical. To clear the air, I do fish roughly 100 days a year and I do participate in tournaments. Your constant bashing of tournament anglers is way off base. Because of them the fishing world has learned many new techniques and many innovative products have come from their desire to win.

You complained of how they promote their products because of money and look how you end your column. You mention Spence who is a guide and conducts fishing classes. Nice promotion for him. I also would like to know how many times you mention Whacky-worm in your columns?

You are extremely fortunate to have a forum like this and it would be nice to get straight forward information in the areas of what is new, where are the fish biting, etc. Unfortunately, most of your columns seem to be about your self-promotion which you ripped in your current column.
