Budget cuts new excuse for Benghazi

In an effort to turn the blame for Benghazi onto Republicans, the Democrats have begun to try to use budget cuts. If the Democrats would just listen to the Congressional hearings, they would know that budget cuts had nothing to do with the murders of four brave Americans on Sept 11, 2012 in Benghazi, Libya.

Charlene Lamb, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security, stated under oath during Congressional hearings that budget cuts were not to blame for the lack of security in Benghazi. As a matter of fact, in answer to a request for additional security by our late ambassador in March 2012, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ordered a withdrawal of security elements to proceed as planned thereby reducing security.

The questions that still remain unanswered by this administration after nine months are: Who doctored the talking points of the CIA, who gave the order to stand down when Lt. Col. Gibson and his team were boarding a plane in Tripoli (405 miles from Benghazi) to help the last two Americans fighting for their lives and where was President Obama during the time when Americans were dying.

When has our country’s motto changed from “no man left behind” to “you’re on your own.”
