Lake County alcohol violations

Alcohol compliance checks by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office conducted at retail liquor establishments turned up five incidents of illegal sales of alcohol to a minor, officials said. Of the 48 checks made between May 11 and May 30, five clerks representing five businesses in unincorporated areas near Lake Bluff, Mundelein, Lake Villa, and Antioch were issued state citations for selling alcohol to a confidential informant who was under the age of 21, according to the sheriff’s office. These locations were issued citations: Lake Bluff Citgo, 28787 Waukegan Road, near Lake Bluff; Country Corner, 1741 Diamond Lake Road and minuteman Citgo, 24112 Rand Road, both near Mundelein; Villa Pantry, 37635 Route 59, near Lake Villa; and Route 173 Mobil, 25112 Route 173, near Antioch.
