Journalists’ sense of right and wrong

Journalists’ sense of right and wrong

If you deliver guns willy nilly into the hands of murderous Mexican drug dealers and thus contribute to the deaths of who knows how many Mexican citizens and one American border patrol agent and then lie to the public about it, the major media will run interference for you.

If you leave your diplomats and their staff in an unconscionably defenseless situation in one of the very worst neighborhoods in the world and then sit on your hands as they are murdered and then lie to the public about it, the major media will cover for you.

But, if you tap the major media’s phones and then lie about it, they take offense to that. It’s comforting to see that our journalists do have a sense of right and wrong. I was beginning to wonder.
