Palatine man killed when motorcycle hit fence

A 30-year-old Palatine man died Wednesday night after the motorcycle he was riding skidded into a fence on Wilke Road in Palatine after he apparently failed to negotiate a turn, police said.

Husham Hussain, of the 200 block of North Wilke Road, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he was pronounced dead at 10:39 p.m., authorities said.

The Palatine Police Technical Accident Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.

Palatine police got the call at 8:27 p.m. There were apparently no witnesses, but preliminary evidence indicates Hussain failed to negotiate a right turn as he was heading north on Wilke/Frontage Road about 75 feet south of Rand Road.

Hussain was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, police said.
