The Mundelein Stand-Up Task Force needs volunteers for help in cleaning up an area behind Mundelein High School at 8 a.m. on June 1. Stand-Up and volunteers will work to clear out and clean up the pond area as a way to encourage students to make better choices. The goal of the Mundelein Stand-Up Task Force is to prevent underage drinking and other drug use and their consequences through increased community-wide awareness, consensus, policy development, education, intervention and enforcement. To volunteer, call (847) 949-2200 and speak with Dean of Students Samantha Smigielski at Extension 1342 or with Officer Brian Kisselburg, MHS Police Liaison, at Extension 1392. Volunteers should park in the west lot.
