Semi, car collide on I-294
One person had to be cut from a vehicle after a semi trailer truck and a passenger car crashed on I-294 about 4 p.m. Monday, police said.
The Des Plaines Fire Department and Illinois State Police District 15 responded to the crash, which happened in the southbound lanes near where I-90 and I-294 meet.
The man who was cut from the vehicle was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, said Des Plaines firefighter Chris Jannusch. Southbound traffic was routed to one lane for about 15 minutes, Jannusch said, while emergency workers responded.
There did not appear to be any other serious injuries, he said.
