Extend our humanity to animals

Success - Article sent! close

It's encouraging that humans are becoming more ethical evidenced by civil rights, minority rights, religious rights, women's rights, victims' rights, gay rights and especially freedom of speech. Conversely, it's discouraging to notice that humans extend no rights to animals. We still have hellish slaughterhouses, brutal hunting fields, fur farms, trapping, whaling and heinous animal research labs.

Humans will never be truly humane until we cease and desist from exploiting, mistreating and killing animals for sport, fashion, entertainment, research and food. Let's have rights for all sentient life.
