Nobody was injured when two cars collided at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday near downtown Barrington.

Barrington police said the accident occurred near the intersection of Hough Street and Hillside Avenue, causing midday traffic backups. Both drivers claimed they had a green light. As a result, police couldn't determine fault and didn't issue any citations.

The fire department was at the scene, but only because they happened to be driving by at the time of the crash, police said.
