Schaumburg’s Prairie Arts Festival May 25-26

Schaumburg’s 26th annual Prairie Arts Festival will run rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 on the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center at Schaumburg Road and Summit Drive.

The exhibition and sale will feature nearly 130 fine artists displaying ceramics, fiber arts, glass, graphics, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, pottery and sculpture. A special event, the Prairie Plein Air Competition, will present works depicting scenes within Schaumburg’s borders created by artists during the weeks leading up to the festival.

Live entertainment can be heard throughout the grounds and the Schaumburg Park District will sponsor a children’s activity tent. Restaurant vendors will serve a variety of food and refreshments. For more information, call (847) 895-3600 or visit prairiecenter.org.
