Great Western Trail Bridge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Postponed
“Due to the fact that 15 of the past 30 days we've had rain and because of the flooding, the project will not be completed by the original date,” said Paul Kuehnlenz, Project Manager and Civil Engineer for the Village of Lombard's Public Works Department. “It's unfortunate that we need to reschedule, but necessary to ensure a safe event,” Kuehnlenz added.
The event has been rescheduled to August 6 and will be a part of the annual “National Night Out” event, which is held at the Lombard Common, proximate to the bridges. More details will be available as the date of the event nears.
