Raising the statistical odds of success for the write-in candidate, the Lake Barrington Countryside Park District's April 9 election was swept by them. After no one initially filed to be on the ballot, incumbents Michael Graft Jr., Philip J. Mohr and Mark Thorndyke eventually filed as write-ins. Graft received six write-in votes and Mohr and Thorndyke received four votes each. Their new terms begin this month.
