D95 hires new principal:

The Lake Zurich Unit District 95 school board has hired Christopher Martelli as the new principal for May Whitney Elementary School. Martelli is currently assistant principal at the John Conyers Learning Academy, a therapeutic day school setting. During his career, he has served as a principal at Albert Einstein Elementary School in Hanover Park, Frederick Nerge Elementary School in Roselle, and at Hunting Ridge Elementary School in Palatine. Martelli holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from the University of Iowa, a Master of Science degree in education from Loyola University, and is working on his Doctor of Education degree in educational administration at the University of Illinois -- Champaign. Martelli will start with District 95 on July 1.
