Elgin police have charged three teenagers with Sunday's armed robbery of a pizza delivery man.

Cook County Judge Jill Cerone Marisie set bail at $100,00 Tuesday for Datren Brown, 18, of the 8100 block of West 87th Street in Hickory Hills. She set bail at $50,000 each for Scott Hatfield, 19, and Devyn Dodd, 17, both of the 200 block of Chaparral in Elgin.

Assistant State's Attorney Katherine Levine said the men robbed the pizza delivery man of his money and a pizza after calling in a bogus order. The robbery occurred around 9:15 p.m. Sunday on the 400 block of Campus Drive.

Levine said one of the suspects pointed a pellet gun at the delivery man's chest and ordered him to turn over his money and the pizza, The man had about $50.

After the robbery, the man called 911. A short time later, police encountered the suspects, one of whom was standing near a car, Levine said. They tried to flee but were caught, Levine said.

If convicted, the suspects face six to 30 years in prison. They next appear in court on May 18.
