Five gardens on display in annual Lisle walk

Five private gardens will be on display during the Lisle Woman’s Club’s 11th annual Garden Gait.

The garden walk festivities will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23, beginning at The Museums of Lisle Station Park, 921 School St.

Participants can savor tea and cookies in the Beaubien Tavern, one of the museums at the park, browse and buy items at the garden necessities booths, and purchase garden-enhancing perennials. The museum buildings, property of the Lisle Park District, will be open for tours given by members of the Lisle Heritage Society. Free parking is available south of Burlington Avenue, in the lots west of village hall.

Tickets are $15, or $17 on the day of the event, and available at Anderson Bookshops, 123 W. Jefferson, Naperville; and 5112 Main St., Downers Grove; The Nook, 4738 Main St., Lisle; Weldon Hardware Supply, 4715 Main St., Lisle; Tina’s Closet, 4745 Main St., Lisle; Wild Birds Unlimited, 1601 Ogden Ave., Lisle; and Country House Lisle, 6460 College Road in College Square Center. Tickets also are available from any Lisle Woman’s Club member.
