No reduction in Rogers’ sentence

A motion to reconsider the sentencing of Sandra Rogers was denied in Lake County court Monday. Judge John Phillips rejected a request from defense attorney Gillian Gosch to reduce the 61-year sentence he gave Rogers in March. Rogers was convicted of trying to kill her ex-husband, Rick Rogers, and his wife, Angela Gloria, in 2003. Gosch also claimed certain evidence that could have helped was not given to the defense prior to the sentencing hearing. Sandra Rogers is appealing her case.
