Look at damage Mrs. Clinton has done

I was somewhat amused by Kathleen Parker’s recent column proclaiming it was now Hillary’s time. I asked myself, “Why is it Hillary’s time?” I reflected on Mrs. Clinton’s record since her days in the White House, which in no specific order includes Travelgate, Filegate, Whitewater and her ill-conceived health care plan dubbed Hillarycare, which was soundly rejected.

In her eight years as senator from New York, where she had never lived and essentially was elected because she was Mrs. Clinton, I don’t recall seeing her name on any major legislation. And her accomplishments as secretary of state? The Middle East is in turmoil. Syrians are dying by the thousands. Iran is frighteningly close to becoming nuclear while extending its influence over Iraq. Egypt is under the control of the Muslim Brotherhood. U.S. and Israel relations are seriously strained. Libya is being governed by whom? Al-Qaida is alive and well — see Mali, Yemen, Algeria, etc. Four Americans are murdered in Benghazi, their pleas for help denied, and we still have no answers.

Quite a track record. I guess it’s her time, well, because she’s Mrs. Clinton.
