Lombard April blood drive nets 181 pints

LOMBARD, Illinois—A total of 181 pints of blood were donated yesterday at the Village of Lombard's spring community blood drive.

The blood drive included donors from Yorktown Center and the Village Hall, with an additional 16 people who were deferred.

Blood drive coordinator Carol Bauer of the Village Manager's Office, paid special thanks to second grade students from St. John's School who helped distribute flyers for the blood drive.

Many thanks also to Culver's Restaurant of Lombard and Buona of Lombard for their donations of coupons for all blood donors.

The Village's next community blood drive will be held on July 10.

Village blood drives are held in partnership with Heartland Blood Centers.
