Gilmer/Midlothian Road options

The Lake County Division of Transportation hosts a public meeting from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 17 regarding the Gilmer Road and Midlothian Road intersection improvements study affecting traffic through the village of Hawthorn Woods and unincorporated Lake County. The open house meeting is at the Hawthorn Woods Aquatic Center Community room, 94 Midlothian Road. LCDOT is considering a multilane roundabout or traditional lighted intersection improvements. The meeting will present proposed alternatives and solicit public comment. LCDOT staff and the engineering consultant, HDR Engineering, will be available to discuss the proposed alternatives and answer questions. Comments can be submitted at www.improvegilmermidlothian.com.
