S. Elgin candidates know good policy

When I consider candidates for election, I rarely rely on their mailers and I never rely on signs. What is reliable to me though is their overall set of qualifications, service and sound decision making qualities.

Scott Richmond, an attorney, and John Sweet, a land surveyor, both know that sound decisions are rarely based on what is popular, or even the voice that is the loudest.

Good policy is established by following code, vetting requests in light of those established rules, and making decisions that maintain fairness and consistency to serve the best interests of the whole community.

Scott Richmond and John Sweet and have demonstrated this professionally and in their policymaking on the South Elgin village board. The village will benefit from their continued service and they should be re-elected.
