In support of Sugar Grove incumbents

I am writing in support of the re-election of Sean Michels, Robert Bohler, and Rick Montalto to the Sugar Grove village board. Sean has exhibited a tremendous amount of leadership in moving Sugar Grove forward.

He understands the need for a strong, fiscally responsible budget and financial planning. This has led to the village’s A+ credit rating. He continues to make the necessary contacts at the local, state and federal levels to push for funding for the improvement of the Route 47 and I-88 interchange. This project will improve transportation on a regional basis and bring additional jobs to the area.

Sean has also led the village with strong planning to see growth in our commercial/industrial and retail areas even in a down economy. Sugar Grove has seen over 100 new jobs created in the last two years.

Trustees Bohler and Montalto both have strong backgrounds. Bohler’s strong safety and security background have helped with the formation of an emergency management plan and Bob has also served on the EDC committee, since its formation and transformation to the Economic Development Corporation. Montalto, a retired police officer, and now a college professor, brings his many years as a municipal employee to the table. He continues to strive for a strong police department here.

All candidates are well versed in the village budget and are prepared at meetings to face whatever challenges come about. I also ask for the support of Pat Graceffa as a write-in candidate for the Sugar Grove Library Board. There is not anyone more qualified for this position. Pat loves the library and will continue to put the library’s needs at the forefront. Not a personal agenda.
