Time for Hoffman to have a new leader
As a former member of various commissions with the Village of Hoffman Estates over 25 years, such as the 25th anniversary, 4th of July and 15 years on the planning commission as Vice Chairman and Chairman prior to being appointed to the village board by Bill McLeod and then being elected to the seat — I believe I speak from experience when I say McLeod has definitely overstayed his position as Mayor and definitely needs to be replaced by an individual I personally had the honor to serve with on the board — candidate Raymond “Ray” Kincaid.
The issues that Ray has raised in his campaign are all true, though some may disagree. I’ve been there serving under the mayor. The mayor’s claim to transparency is, as they say, pure “hogwash.” All he ever wanted was a board consisting of individuals who always “vote” yes when told to do so by the mayor.
I’ve served with many good elected board members and the mayor’s current board is probably one of the weakest the village has ever had seated. I never read, or hear, about any new ideas or issues they bring to the table. All I see is they “voted” yes.
At some point a trustee has to have concerns and should question an issue. It is my opinion that this does not happen because the majority of the board is being bullied by our current mayor. This kind of activity has to stop and be replaced by free thinking and concerned trustees led by a mayor that encourages such participation.
The time is right to elect a new mayor, namely Trustee Raymond “Ray” Kincaid who can and will lead the Village to greatness as the village motto declares.
This is not rhetoric, it is the truth!
