A short time ago I wrote a letter about an apparent rate increase to sewer and garbage services in Mt. Prospect. My letter was based on my recent bill and the information that Mt. Prospect had instituted a new monthly billing procedure replacing the old bimonthly one.
However I have since learned that a number of the latest bills were for a 1˝ period in order to get the new computerized billing system standardized. My bill was one of those. Not being aware of this, my calculations, originally based on the assumption that I had received a one-month bill, were in error.

A recalculation showed that there was in fact no increase in the fees. I apologize for any confusion I may have caused.
