Urlacher’s brother runs for mayor in Mettawa

Brian Urlacher isn’t the only member of his family looking for a new place to work.

The former Bears linebacker’s younger brother, Casey, is running for mayor in the tiny Lake County village of Mettawa.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the 33-year-old Urlacher is running against Trustee Jeff Clark in the community of about 550 residents.

Urlacher graduated with a business degree from Lake forest College in 2003 and has lived in Mettawa for seven years. The story of his run for office comes during the same week the Bears announced Brian Urlacher had become a free agent after the team couldn’t agree on a contract with him.
