Endorsements: Del Alcazar, Kankovsky, Lynch, Schroder for Lombard Elementary Dist. 44 schools

In Lombard Elementary School District 44, four open seats are available for six candidates: incumbents Gayle Kankovsky, Kristina Lynch and John Schroder and first-time candidates Tony Del Alcazar, Scott Jenkins and Courtney Simek. The district's 2011 budget received high marks from the Illinois State Board of Education, and Kankovsky, Lynch and Schroder deserve kudos for their work to date. With all the state funding questions looming, their experience will be an asset in the next four years. Del Alcazar, Jenkins and Simek all have a lot to offer to the board. All three have students in the district and are passionate about serving the district. Del Alcazar, a longtime junior high and high school science teacher, could bring a new perspective to the board and is endorsed.
