Nominations are sought for this year's Gurnee Days honoree. Gurnee Days Corp. annually selects an individual or couple who have given selfless service to the community. To qualify for the nomination, the couple or individuals must have provided a meaningful contribution to the village of Gurnee for 10 years or longer. Whoever is selected will be feted at a testimonial dinner Thursday, Aug. 8, and will lead the Gurnee Days parade on the festival's final day, Sunday, Aug. 11. Nomination forms may be picked up at Gurnee village hall, 325 N. O'Plaine Road, or by downloading the document at gurneedays.com.
