The Illinois Department of Transportation and the Lake County Division of Transportation will host an open house public hearing on Route 45 and the Millburn bypass from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Millburn Middle School, 640 Freedom Way, Lindenhurst. The purpose is to present the results of the Environmental Assessment Route 45, from Route 132 to Route 173, the planned improvements for the selected west Millburn Bypass alternative and likely future improvements for Route 45 north and south of the bypass area and to provide an opportunity for public comment. Visit www.route45project.com. To be included in public hearing record, comments must be received by April 8. Comments can be submitted at the hearing in writing or to a court reporter, submitted via the project website, or mailed to John Baczek, Project and Environmental Studies Section Chief, Illinois Department of Transportation, 201 West Center Court, Schaumburg, Il., 60196-1096.
