Mental health training offered in Des Plaines

Mental Health First Aid, the Des Plaines Community Foundation and Frisbie Senior Center are jointly hosting an interactive 12-hour course on the warning signs of mental health problems, including depression, suicidal behavior, psychosis, substance abuse and eating disorders, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, and Tuesday, March 26, at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 E. Northwest Hwy., Des Plaines. Participants will learn a five-step action plan giving them the knowledge and resources to help others in need. The cost is $85.
