Sobota was charged in January after police said he entered RC Grill Restaurant, 117 W. St. Charles Road, about 6 a.m. and implied he had a gun.

Sobota took $81 from a cash register and was arrested while running east about a block from the scene. Police recovered the stolen money.

His plea was accepted by Judge George Bakalis, who is scheduled to sentence him on April 8. Sobota, of the 100 block of Oak Avenue, faces four to 15 years in prison.
