• Willie Akins III, 30, of the 200 block of Heine Avenue, was arrested Monday and charged with four counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, court records show. Akins sold between 6 and 7 grams of cocaine for $200 to a police confidential informant in separate incidents April 29 and May 24 in the 200 block of Heine Avenue, according to a police report. Both transactions were documented with audio and video recordings. The transactions took place within 1,000 feet of the Islamic Community Center of Elgin. Akins appeared in Kane County bond court, where his bail was set at $800,000.
• Michael A. Glover, 50, of the 0-100 block of Crystal Avenue, was arrested Monday and charged with criminal damage to property after he caused between $300 and $10,000 in damages to a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, court documents show. His bail was set at $10,000 in Kane County bond court.
• Javier Rodriguez, 36, of the 1100 block of Algonquin Drive, was arrested at about 7 p.m. Sunday and charged with aggravated battery to a police officer after he spat at the officer, court records show. Police responded to a call about a hit-and-run on Lille Street and found Rodriguez, who matched the suspect's description, in the 400 block of Prospect Avenue, police records show. Police arrested him on suspicion of DUI after noticing his slurred speech, and Rodriguez became verbally abusive and spit at the officer. Rodriguez's bail was set at $125,000 in Kane County bond court.
• Lacy Ousley, 18, of the 500 block of Highland Avenue, was arrested Sunday and charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage of less than $500 to government-supported property. Her bail was set at $10,000 in Kane County bond court.
