Venus Pharmaceutical Machinery has bought the vacant 29,328-square-foot facility at 1128 Tower Road in the Schaumburg Industrial Park.

The business is expected to open this summer, and the $5 million investment will create 30 new jobs in Schaumburg.

The Chinese company is also evaluating options for a future research and development facility.

"The village of Schaumburg is excited about another international business coming to community," Mayor Al Larson said. "The diversity of businesses in our business parks help all aspects of our economy and raises awareness of Schaumburg in the global market."
