Kane’s 4-H clubs welcome all to explore countries of the world
Submitted by University of Illinois Extension Office Kane County
The Kane County 4-H Clubs invite the public to attend a special International Event from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road, St. Charles. Displays will be in the north end of Robinson Hall.
For this event, 4-H clubs and their members have studied a country of their choice and prepared a display for viewing. Some clubs will also provide samples of ethnic foods. All youth visiting this event will receive a passport to travel the displays and learn more about the countries through trivia questions. A small prize will be given to youth who answer at least half of the trivia questions correctly.
This program has been designed as a family event, and all are welcome to attend to learn more about other countries and their customs. A donation of $1 for each person age 7 and older is requested. All proceeds will benefit 4-H programs throughout Kane County.
For more information about this event or about 4-H, call the University of Illinois Extension Office — Kane County at (630) 584-6166.
