They are sneaking in the increases

There isn’t anything I can do about it, but the politicos in town may fool some people but not me.

I just received my first monthly water bill. At first glance it looks OK. Digging a bit deeper (doing the math) I find that they have eased in an increase in the sewer construction fee and the refuse collection fee. The former was 7.50 for two months. Now it is $5 for one month; an increase of $1.25 per month.

The refuse fee was $12.50 for two months. Now it is $8.33 for one month: an increase of $2.16 for one month.

As I said earlier, there is nothing I can do about it but you “ain’t” fooling me.

I have lived in Mount Prospect for 60 years and over that time there have been numerous fees for sewers. What happens to the money? My basement still floods!
