Death investigation in Round Lake Beach

Round Lake Beach officials are investigating the shooting death of a man who was found early Sunday morning, police said.
The body was found around 3:30 a.m., though officials did not say where it was found or where the shooting took place.

According to an autopsy done Sunday afternoon, the man died of a gunshot wound, but Lake County Coroner Todd Rudd said it had not yet been determined if the gunshot was an accident or homicide. Authorities declined to publicly identify the deceased, or give an age for the man because they said family was still being identified.
Round Lake Beach police are were investigating, according to the coroner's office, but police did not return calls for comment.
