No injuries in Lombard house fire

A fire caused about $100,000 worth of damage Thursday night to a house in Lombard, but no injuries were reported, authorities said Friday.

The fire broke out about 7:40 p.m. on the 100 block of North West Road, and firefighters saw flames from the house's second story when they arrived, authorities said.

Residents were able to escape without injuries from the fire, which is being investigated by the Lombard fire investigation unit.

York Center, Oak Brook and Villa Park crews assisted Lombard in the response.
